Effective date: June 2026 · Applies to all programming on flightlineradio.com and affiliated streams
Our commitment
Flightline Radio is an independently owned Florida internet radio station built on the principle that great radio is inclusive, responsible, and community-minded. These guidelines exist to protect our listeners, our hosts, our advertisers, and the station itself. Every person who broadcasts on Flightline Radio — whether as a regular host, a guest, or a fill-in — is expected to uphold these standards without exception.
These are not suggestions. Violation of any guideline below may result in immediate removal from the station schedule without notice, termination of any hosting agreement, and forfeiture of any unpaid compensation where applicable.
1. Hate speech & discrimination
Flightline Radio has zero tolerance for content that promotes, glorifies, or incites hatred against any individual or group. This applies to spoken content, music selections, sound bites, drops, and any other material broadcast on the station.
- Content targeting race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or immigration status in a derogatory, threatening, or dehumanizing way is prohibited in any format.
- Hosts are responsible for the music they air. Songs with lyrics that constitute hate speech or incite violence are not permitted regardless of genre or mainstream popularity.
- Political and social commentary is permitted within reason but must never cross into targeted harassment or discriminatory attacks.
2. Threats & incitement to violence
No content that threatens, intimidates, or encourages violence against any person, group, institution, or government entity will be tolerated.
- Direct or implied threats against any individual or group are strictly prohibited.
- Content that encourages, glorifies, or provides instruction for acts of violence — including terrorism or targeted attacks — is prohibited.
- Threatening language directed at public figures, private individuals, or organizations is prohibited regardless of intent or framing.
- This applies to live commentary, music, drops, pre-recorded segments, and all other broadcast material.
3. National security & public safety
Flightline Radio will not broadcast content that poses a risk to national security, public safety, or emergency response operations.
- Broadcast of false emergency alerts, fake distress signals, or fabricated public safety announcements is strictly prohibited and may constitute a federal offense.
- Content that instructs listeners on how to carry out illegal activity, evade law enforcement, or cause harm to infrastructure is not permitted.
- If a genuine emergency occurs during a broadcast, hosts should cease normal programming and direct listeners to official emergency services.
4. Decency standards
Flightline Radio operates to FCC-equivalent broadcast decency standards out of respect for our listeners and advertisers.
- Sexually explicit content and obscene material are not permitted at any time.
- Strong profanity is not permitted in live commentary. Hosts airing music with explicit lyrics must use clean edited versions unless cleared in writing by station management.
- Any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors is absolutely prohibited and will result in immediate removal and referral to appropriate authorities.
5. Music licensing & copyright
- Do not violate DMCA repeat play rules — no more than 3 songs by the same artist per hour; no more than 2 consecutive songs by the same artist.
- Do not broadcast unlicensed content, bootleg recordings, or pirated material.
- Do not re-broadcast another station's programming without explicit written permission.
- Pre-recorded shows are subject to the same licensing standards as live broadcasts.
6. Advertising & commercial content
- Hosts may not promote or advertise any business on air without prior written authorization from station management.
- Unauthorized paid promotions or undisclosed sponsorships are grounds for immediate removal.
- Station-approved advertiser mentions must use management-approved talking points.
- Hosts may promote their own social media and personal projects during their show within reason.
7. Privacy & personal information
- Do not broadcast personal information of any individual without their explicit consent.
- Do not broadcast private communications without consent of all parties.
- Live callers and guests are assumed to have consented to being broadcast. Make this clear before going live with them.
8. Misinformation & harmful content
- Do not present demonstrably false information as fact, particularly regarding public health, emergencies, or elections.
- Content promoting or glorifying self-harm, suicide, or substance abuse in an instructional or encouraging way is prohibited.
- Content promoting illegal activity is not permitted.
9. Station representation
- Conduct on and off air that brings the station into serious disrepute may be grounds for removal at management's discretion.
- Do not claim affiliations or endorsements on behalf of the station without written authorization.
- Disputes with management, other hosts, or advertisers must be handled privately — not on the broadcast.
10. Enforcement & consequences
Violations of these guidelines may result in one or more of the following, at the sole discretion of Flightline Radio management:
- Immediate suspension of broadcasting privileges without notice
- Permanent removal from the station schedule
- Termination of any hosting or contributor agreement
- Forfeiture of any unpaid compensation where applicable
- Referral to appropriate law enforcement or regulatory authorities where the violation may constitute an illegal act
Flightline Radio reserves the right to remove any host or content from the air at any time, for any reason, where management determines it is in the best interest of the station, its listeners, or its advertisers.
11. Updates to these guidelines
Flightline Radio reserves the right to update these guidelines at any time. Hosts will be notified of material changes by email. Continued broadcasting on the station following notice of an update constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines.
